Tonight flank steak was on the menu because #1... football was on and #2... it is so easy!!! I make flank steak probably once a week. I usually buy the 2 pack from Costco when I make my monthly trip there. I make one and freeze the other one. Flank steak is so easy because you can throw it in a marinade, let it sit for 30 minutes or all day and then when you are ready, throw it on the grill for 4 minutes a side and your done!!! Tonight I made a garlic and rosemary marinade. It was great!! Rosemary is my favorite herb. I use it all the time. I have a huge rosemary bush in my backyard. It was probably one of the first things I planted when we built this house 5 years ago. They grow very fast and are an evergreen. They have beautiful purple flowers in the spring and wonderful fragrance. If you are going to plant any herb....plant rosemary!!

The caesar dressing recipe comes from my Mom. She has made it ever since I can remember and I'm not quite sure where she got the recipe but it's one of those recipes that I have memorized and it's always great!! I like to add anchovy paste to the dressing also but did not have any in the fridge. You can purchase tubes of it in the canned fish section at the supermarket. Believe me it adds a great flavor to the dressing.
Caesar Dressing
1 egg
1/2 C. grated parmesan cheese
1 t. worchestire sauce
1/4 C. fresh lemon juice or minute maid fresh lemon juice (in the freezer section)
3 cloves garlic, pressed
salt and pepper to taste
1/2 C. olive oil
Combine all ingredients in blender except olive oil. Turn on blender, slowly pour olive oil into blender to emulsify dressing.
I like to use romaine hearts for my caeser salad. I usally buy the bag of hearts in the salad section. And of course you must shave some fresh parmesan on top. I also like to add crutons, but didn't have any leftover bread to make any. I guess I'll have to make those another day!
Yum!! This meal was great! Glass of red wine to round it off!! Add flank steak to your table!! Easy and good!!! Enjoy!!

I love your food blog. Being a BIG foodie myself, it's exciting to read about someone else's adventure in food.
I made the flank steak today! So yummy, even for me who isn't a steak kind of gal. I made it for some company today and everyone really enjoyed it. I also made the Ceasar salad to go with it. Thank you for sharing your yumminess! :)
